Sept 10-12 2021, Cafe Bokvillan - Hämeentie 125, Helsinki

Our biggest event for 2021, members came together for a celebration of creativity during the challenges of covid-19.

HIAA FEST is an annual three-day art festival organised by Helsinki International Artists’ Association with an aim of promoting the beauty of multiculturalism and diversity in the Finnish art and culture scene. The showcased work is created by both foreign-born and local talents; artists, performers, crafters and other creatives who are members of the association.

The event consisted of a number of diverse activities for all age groups: live music performances, dance & art workshops, art & craft market as well as a group exhibition featuring members of the association.

Our first ever HIAA Fest was a huge success with a real sense of celebration in the air. Artists, dancers, musicians and art lovers filled this historic building over the weekend, revelling in the chance to meet with others and join in the creative spirit after so many months of lockdown.

Keeping with the initiative to nurture our growing membership and develop even better relationships between our multicultural group of creators, HIAA has organised the 2023 edition of HIAA FEST to be held in the coveted artists' hotspot, Kaapelitehdas in the Valssamo space. We have nearly 60 artists participating in this event, making it the biggest exhibition to date. Learn more about the event here:
