KLAUDIA WEBER

GRAPHIC ARTIST, PAINTER

Born 1964 in Austria, MA (English language and Media Communication). Childhood passion for drawing (pen, ink) was later expanded to creative outlets like writing, music and (voice) acting. As mostly self-taught artist, I achieved photo-realism in my teenage years, a style which I try to escape from now... My illustrations and cartoons were published in 1980s Science Fiction, Comic book and Heavy Metal music fan magazines (under the fandom nickname “MDS”). For about 2 years worked as cartoonist of German heavy music magazine Rock Hard. After moving to Finland, I became more interested in water colour and acrylic painting and I am still experimenting, inspired by movies, TV and Pop-culture. Recently I have also been expanding to sculpting, custom-Barbies and wearable art, using low-budget raw materials.

"Creativity cannot be bottled or limited to just one form of self-expression!"

INÊS WELLENKAMP JALES

ARTIST & BIRD ADVOCATE

"Hi, my name is Inês, but some people call me Crazy Bird Lady.

I'm a graphic designer turned illustrator that found purpose in bird advocacy. My passion for nature was always present, but it was greatly influenced by my grandmother, who adored all creatures. However, birds sing sweetly and may be near powerlines without being electrocuted. They were magical."

Combining her passions for art and bird advocacy, the artist hopes to increase awareness of these amazing animals through art, creating beautiful art pieces that others would like to have and share, and telling a bit more about specific birds and their conservation status.

MAI YOSHIZAKI

SUSTAINABLE STYLIST / KIMONO DRESSER

I was born and raised in Japan and studied fashion design in Tokyo. I worked as an assistant to a men's fashion stylist. Staying abroad in London introduced me to the connection between fashion and environmental issues, sparking my interest in sustainability. This led me to explore Nordic countries, where sustainability is deeply integrated into daily life. After living in Sweden and Denmark, I am now based in Finland, continuing to research and create in the field of sustainable fashion. Through my work, I aim to give new life to discarded materials and inspire a more thoughtful approach to clothing.

As a Japanese artist, I explore the intersection of sustainability and fashion by repurposing discarded fabrics and garments into new creations. My work blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary environmental themes, giving materials a second life through innovative design. For example, I have transformed old denim jeans into kimonos to raise awareness about water pollution, while also reinventing silk kimonos into modern, everyday wear to preserve their cultural value. Beyond garment reconstruction, I incorporate sustainable styling into my practice, curating looks that highlight the beauty of upcycled fashion while challenging the fast fashion industry. Through my work, I aim to inspire more conscious consumption and appreciation for the stories embedded in every piece of fabric.

VISUAL ARTS, PATTERNS & ILLUSTRATION

I was born in the foothill of a poetic mountain that is surrounded by endless bamboo forests in coastal China. Life led me to live my adulthood in the land of pure and magical nature - Finland. Both of these experiences shape my aesthetics and artistic
expression.

I studied fashion and textile design at universities. It took me several years to explore and feel what I resonated with until I realize that my passion lies in the fields that are
creatively driven.

Lately, I have dedicated myself to enhance my professional skills in developing
visual arts and explore the journey of being an artist.
